Both her parents are scientists and researchers. Brought up in Boston, she was a quiet, studious child and developed a wry sense of humor. Her parents loved her but often their research kept them away and she also grew quite independent. Claire got extremely good grades in high school and went to school at Harvard. She's got an undergraduate degree in astronomy but discovered her talents were really in getting other people interested in the science. She continued at Harvard and got her masters degree in public relations and administration. During that time, she met Joshua who introduced her to the lifestyle. Claire found that, to her surprise, she was a better dominant than she was a sub. She continued in the scene even after she and Josh broke up, joining a club to broaden her experience and learn more. She graduated and got a job at the Harvard College Observatory and then the AMPO in Florida where she worked for three years. After a summer studying at the Keck Observatory in Hawai'i, Claire is starting her new position as program coordinator for the observatory and science center in Boulder.
